Brand New Hitachi 3D30H In box with everything

cutra - 2008-10-30 18:25

Well here it is.
Brand new in box with everything even a Hitachi sealed tape that has all the cool stuff done with songs from 1990.
Pictures tell it all.
I really don't know what to ask for so if it's ok go and make me some offers yet I think it's got to be at least 100.00 plus shipping.
Any questions just ask.
I have been on Ebay for a long time with my user id of Cutra* yet new to this forum.
I'm a trustworthy guy, i'm no scammer and I pack and ship the best i can.

Ooooooooooooooooooo, how tempting! Can I be first in line? Big Grin Just need to do a little research on this particular model

vladi123456 - 2008-10-30 18:54

Ok, after a little research - seems that this particular model is not as good as 3D8, 3D80 or 3D88 - thanks to our Hitachi man Isolator42 for the info!
So I'm going to pass on this - but it would be a great box for those who like NIB boxes Smile

Maybe I should just keep it for myself.
I"m sure it's pretty hard to find one in new with box condition.
Hmmmm.
I think the wife will let me keep it.

chancenellie - 2008-10-31 02:23

Welcome aboard Cutra!

If Lopez changes his mind, I'll gladly be second dibs for it...

Thanks!

cutra - 2008-10-31 11:17

Well since I have received so much responce.
here is what I will do.
I will sell it for $180.00 u.s. funds including shipping to the u.s.

Let me know who wants it.
Otherwise I will keep it.
Thanks everyone.

baby.boomer - 2008-11-01 09:58

Sold.

Don't know if I got the 3D30 because I was the first person to accept Cutra's $180 asking price (shipping from Canada included) or because I PM'd him about a half-hour after he originally listed the 3D30 (about 10 PM Eastern Time on October 30), saying I was interested. But I just bought it. (Hope i'm not stepping on anyone's dibs by doing this. PM me [unless you're Michael Garrett] if you think I did.)

I'll post some glowing feedback for Cutra when the box arrives... and some photos, too. Seems I just can't resist a 3D-in-a-box (with a sticker still on it)!! Big Grin

Thanks Baby Boomer.
Payment received and now trying to find a big enough box to ship it out for next week.

I just remember that my wife still has her boombox that I bought her back in the 90's when we were going out. Also mint but looks like it's the only one I/we have so it's going to stay with us.
I will post some pictures of it when I get a chance.
Funny enough it's also a Hitachi.

Hold the phone,
I still have my Candle boombox. Very beaten up.
Was awesome in it's time. I will post pictures of it also when I get a chance.

Cutra.

Cutra, sorry to not be so positive about this particular 3D.
I have pretty much all of them, including this one & on it's own it's not a bad machine. It's just that most of the other Hitachi 3Ds are a bit better.
Here's why:

Looks-wise, the 3Ds are all more or less in the same boat - you either like 'em or you don't. Yours scores highly here by being in *perfect* condition, box instructions tape & all.

Sound-wise, none of the 3Ds are HiFi & don't pretent to be, but the mids & highs are fine on all of them. However, for the lows it's all about that centre woofer. Size is everything & the 3D30 is left wanting - it just can't compete with the 6½" woofers of the 3D8, etc. Nice enough sound when quiet, but limited blast-ability. All other 3Ds (apart from the 3D2) have more or bigger woofers & they have more to give when compared directly.

Features-wise it's not so bad - proper line in, twin tape, EQ...

Build-quality also isn't as good as other 3Ds.
It's not as solid as the early ones & there were savings made on the sliders, etc.

All that said, the example you have really is superb. I'm pleased to see that this has found a home with an s2g member.

hmm...I wonder whether a box-fresh 3D30 might be better than my one?

Thanks! Can't wait 'til this 3D arrives. She's a beauty... just like that other beauty we both know about: the minty, Korean-made Conion C-100F! (Still haven't seen another one like it on eBay... or anywhere.) Wink

(Take that, real-estate-items... or bucket-a-bolts... or pocket-o-puss... or whatever you're calling yourself this week!)

Don't worry, Nicolle. You'd've had to have dealings with Michael Garrett to know what I'm getting at. See this thread for the sordid background of my name-calling.
