Theese are superb boxes especially when you turn the volume up inside almost as loud as an m90 with better bass good luck with the trade, i have 2 of them so i think that's enough.

Nice looking box!

After cleaning heads, capstans and pinchrollers I checked the function and it's georgerous: all is OK and my MAXELL XLIIS sounds very good. The just made records from FM are totally like new: rich bass and good trebles....
Perhaps this is a box for HIFI-Tom...
Overall it sounds very good and it could be a hard rival to the Telefunken Studio 1M.

A very nice box.

I have a CT-990, and love it.

redbenjoe - 2008-07-01 15:06

what sounds better --this CT980 or the C100 ?
thanks

asking same question as redbenjoe thanks.

The RX-C100 IMHO. It has a more natural sound to me. You have to be very careful with that XBS knob or you'll mud it up. At all settings flat the RX-C100 is the winner. To me anyway. Smile

But I have a RX-DT680 which is the same as a CT-980 with a CD and logic controls and I really love it! Had one since '93. Big Grin

I have my rxdt680 super bass on full all the time i put the 100hz eq down to half the warmth realy shines through then.
