Thanks to your "heads up," I had my eye on it. But @ £43.00 plus heaven-knows-how-much shipping to the USA... well... my wife would've put ME on eBay (or out on the street)!

I still like the 3D8, though. Looks like a brick/tank/toolbox.

I'll give it to you, the 3D sound doesn't always wallop you over the head. But, on most of these little fellers, it's darned good, and the looks are killer. Sometimes looks trump sound. Take Cher, for example...

The looks & features are good on the 3D5 as you can see, but the 3D8 will blast a bit harder.

I just dug up a hitachi 3d30 brand new in box.
I will be posting it up on the classifieds and if it does not sell i will sell it on ebay under my user id cutra*.
I'm just wondering what it's worth especially due to it's new condition with box and manual and everything. Even a hitachi pre recorded cassette.

Unfortunately the 3D30 was not one of the best Hitachi 3Ds, but NOS in box, it might sell for a reasonable sum.
