Diddn't see the panna....thats would be about it for me....like your artwork retro lol

bison - 2011-07-06 18:03

id go for them, but storage is the issue for me,be interesting to see what they go for and if they all end up relisted individually.

ghettoman - 2011-07-06 18:32

i reckon someone will buy them all, keep what they want, and i reckon they will re-list the rest individually..the best ones are defo the Philips D8644,that is a huge monster, heavy and loud, the D8634,they are nice, lots of lights, proline is ok,more for looks than sound though, sanyo M9990,nice solid box with the nice Vu Needles, and the Panasonic Dt with the bad ass bass and bi-wire amp..i'de still have them all just to be greedy

you would defo need a spare bedroom or garage to store them all..

blaster - 2011-07-06 21:05

wow, right in front the 8624...is that samsung? looks like the one my brother had in 1984 before he had his sharp 777

claret.badger - 2011-07-07 01:29

THIS IS 15 MILES FROM ME!

HOLY MOLY!!!!

buyer has been contacted
but to be fair - most of them seem to have "issues"
and I think I would too - if my missus found out I bought them!

andyboombox - 2011-07-07 02:23

this is fantastic-id love the toshiba 8360 and that 6 speaker 777 style thing.but funds are tight,i dont have a van and its 200 miles away.what a shame.im always in the wrong place at the wrong time lol

kennedy - 2011-07-07 05:11

My missus would hit the fu*@in roof, smash through it and keep on going until she was out into space if I got these . . . .

Anyone got a van I can borrow?

KND

bison - 2011-07-07 09:50

^^must admit its cool when you get grubby unit cleaned up good,my budget is all about fixing them up... and stealth on ebay

ghettoman - 2011-07-07 09:58

Hey up bison,i've had a few boxes in the past covered in absolute filth, took like a day or 2 to clean, but sometimes a filthy box is better because the dirt protects the surface, and when you clean the crap off it,ends up looking like new..its great..

claret.badger - 2011-07-07 10:36

you luv it dirty eh?

filthy northerner

ghettoman - 2011-07-07 13:59

i dont badger but a few of my ex girlfriends did

kennedy - 2011-07-11 03:37

Boombox Lottery?! . . .

A trustworthy member should buy these boxes, assign a number to each box and then sell raffle tickets to members. You pay shipping but have no idea what you get till it arrives! - could be a good one, could be naff.

Tickets cost the sale price divided by 42 so if they sell for £100 then tickets are like £2.50/£3.00 or something (enough to also cover time and effort)

Hmm . . . this isn't gonna work is it, who's gonna pack and post all of them? - and it'll need to be someone close to pick em up in the first place . . . and it's only gonna work for UK members . . .

. . I'll go back to sleep.

Winning bidders ebay ID looks like this; r***a . . .

Hmm, who do we know from round these parts with a S2G username starting R and A?! haha

I have my suspicions, but I could be wrong.

Oh fair enough, that makes sense. I thought it was disguised in the middle wiv *** but was still generated from the starting ID letters. I was thinkin that quite a few folks have the same ID names across forums and ebay etc . . .

That said my Dyslexia kicked in  cos what I was thinking still wouldn't make sense, thought Retro Addict when I saw r and a cos he's UK and I think has a fair few boxes . . .

 . . I'll go back to sleep

KND - still wanting to know who bought 42 boomboxes!
