I'm thinking this is rare, has anyone ever seen this setup before, is there enough power for this to really work? Only 35 miles away from me . .

Was that sold together as a package or has it just been wired together by someone?

check out the link above to epay and;

view the extensive pictures...

this is just a portable boombox with a passive ( non-powered ) dual voice-coil subwoofer, wired with the speaker outputs of the boombox going into the cross-over network of the subwoofer feeding the sub then out ( minus the low frequency's of the sub ) - probally cross-overed at around 100HZ and back to the fullrange speakers of the boombox, if using a passive x-over network, x'd at 100hz with a 6db roll-off or so.

Another way to look at this would be 100 hz and below only outputting from the subwoofer and 100 hz and above outputting to the full-range speaker's of the boombox.

This is a neat idea but hard to lug around...hence the roller's on the subwoofer speaker box.

I can you YOU now rolling this down the street ,,, LOL

i dont like that sub thing,just not my thing i'm afraid..but i did like the technics sac 05,i even bid on a few some years ago on the bay,but the same guy outbid me and won them all..

i liked them until i found out they dont take batterys,well they do but its like the Jvc Dc33L,you have to take the power supply out and replace it with the battery pack,and you rarely get the battery box with them because they probebly got thrown away years ago..you will notice when a Dc33 comes up on ebay,they never have the battery box,i think i've only ever seen one battery box for sale on the bay and i think it was going for £75...

but anyhow,with the no batterys thing.. that blew it for me...
