ghettoman - 2011-12-22 17:34

Hugo,if its the vela type,i'm sure you wont have much trouble selling that, every man and his dog wants one of those, they seem to be very popular at the moment..have you thought of ebay ? prices on there are very healthy for these..

driptip - 2011-12-22 17:55

ghettoblast - 2011-12-25 22:50

Is this Boombox still available ?
I'm really interested.
Please Let me know.
I'm in the USA

driptip - 2011-12-26 09:45

yes still available, in my opinion these are great radios, not the best quality boombox, the sound is not bad at all,  they get pretty loud and since they have an EQ is fun adjusting the sound to your needs. i have had a lot of fun with it,  is a great conversation piece, i am leting it go so some one else can have some fun with it,  i know there is a lot of us trying to get one, so if you want it and you have the money let me know.

the issue that it has is : the radio is hard to come on, i find my self wiggleing the controls a lot to get the radio going, it might need some control cleaning or lube, i dont  know but i dont really mind because i only use line in when i use the boombox, both tapes work but one is starting to play slow but sill works.

you might have to get a second mortgage to pay for it but so what is only money, hehehe

i am trying to collect some cash to pay for xmas gifts.   $950 shipped in the usa.

and remember this is not worth $950 get it only if you have the extra cash available and you wont regret geting it.  THO  remember youll get back you money when you sell again.

with that in mind good luck guys.

malaki.the.most.hi - 2011-12-27 21:38

Ive got the smaller vela with dual cassette detachable speakers and disco lites, would like the larger version.

You come down from $950 shipped at all yet?

I almost got one for 480 on a foreign auction site but b y the time my contact in that country got his account approved it sold.

driptip - 2011-12-28 07:29

sorry i havent, it might end up on ebay in a few weeks if there is no buyer.

stretch - 2011-12-28 22:15

If it ends up on eBay in a few weeks I will possibly bid on it a bit as I'll have some money by that time . I lost out on 3 of them this year on the bay, we'll see if yours does the trick. That is of course if you don't sell it directly to someone on here which I'm hoping you do to keep it in safer hands

My favorite is 1970's Pioneer receivers, mostly what I restore, have even their reel to reel decks rt-707 and rt-909, you also like marantz and the quad sansui receiver, you sure add to your list, even the late 70's Realistic receivers made by Foster is pretty good. Will sent you offer thur PM later on.
