SHARP GF 767 FOR SALE

kriminel99 - 2011-12-23 07:18

Hi,

I'm selling a lovely Sharp GF 767 which I bought from Dave Bush two months ago. It's in great condition, AMAZING sound and is, as you know, a rare model.

I would love to hold onto it but sadly need the cash. I bought it just for the purposes of an exhibition and have hardly used it at all. It has been kept in a clean, dry environment.

Dave did a smashing job of remodding the speakers, I can't stress enough how great it sounds and they look fantastic. He also lubed the mechs. I was using it for tape and it worked fine.

There is a small crack on one side which was there when it arrived. It's cosmetic - please see pics.

I am asking what I paid Dave Bush for it two months ago - £325, plus £25 courier.

Will pack it very carefully. Pick up is also an option. I'm in Glasgow.

I will also be posting this on ebay and just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Happy Christmas!

Charlie

Hi guys. I'm happy to say that I am the proud new owner of this GF 767 box (not the manual!). I was actually watching a nice looking GF 9494 when the GF 767 came up and had a bit of a 'f*ck it' moment. This is only my second box and I wanted to get a really nice one to help kick off my collection.

I have been lurking in this forum for many months, reading loads of old posts in order to try and educate myself a bit before parting with serious money so I'd like to thank you all for your wisdom. I bought this on Ebay before actually realising the box had such great provenance so I'd like to think your posts had helped me spot a good one.

Davebush - would you mind telling me exactly what mods you performed to the box? I'm basically a total noob so don't worry about going into much detail.

I very much look forward to being part of the community.

pots have been blown & deoxed........

the clit-o-meter is well used and has always caused a problem with

^^^^ great scott marty

muzzer - 2011-12-27 06:55

Lol, cheers Dave. I guess I kind of asked for that!

But on a serious note, would you mind telling me the practical implications of using the tuner with the flux capacitor installed? I mean, I rarely listen to Radio 2 myself but if someone in the house were to activate the back in time sound flow, what would happen?

I wouldn't want anyone to almost nullify their own existence after having accidentally stopped their parents from meeting. Some of my friends are dicks but I should probably warn them about that sort of thing.

Would NOT warn anybody  But DO just keep your video camera handy for when your "friends" are around and the radio starts playing that 'back-n-time' music - you may be able to video some really silly dancing that you could use as
