Stretch "refund" fundraiser! JVC straps, CHEAP!

blufuz - 2012-01-06 07:24

All profit will be sent to Stretch in the form of a money order from me.

Here is the deal, he was ripped off by a memeber here for about $300. Sure the boombox he ended up with was good for some parts, so I am hoping to hit as close to about $200-$250 as we can to help. Anything will help.

Here is the goods: 1" JVC replica straps for only $25 shipped in the USA!!!!!

This is what I have in stock and these are the only colors available for this fundraiser. Many satisfied customers with these straps. If you can PLEASE send payment in the form of money order, that is the way I want to do this. Paypal is taking too much these days and now for 2012 is taxing the "income".....

I know that there are a lot of "rip offs" that happen to members, but this one just hit me the wrong way. Stretch was more than civil about it and asked for NOTHING! This is my way of showing I care and also passing on a deal to members that might have wanted one of these straps.

Will also accept "donations" if someone would rather do that. Thanks everyone .

redbenjoe - 2012-01-06 09:10

yup joe --

not all of us are strap fans

the $$ donation is a good alternative

driptip - 2012-01-06 09:38

it seems like a good idea blu_fuz,

i would like the rainbow one, (first pic)

tho money is tight at the moment,

i sold a GE boombox to stretch once, he is a good guy, paid fast no hassle .

claret.badger - 2012-01-06 09:40

where's my strap fuzz?

ao - 2012-01-06 09:57

What a great idea, sir you are a gentleman.

ghettoman - 2012-01-06 10:54

i have also (upto now) lost out £85 on a marantz the i got from andyboombox just before christmas,it was a wreck,it was;nt even worth the postage, maybe he was'nt aware of the many issues it had,but it does'nt help me and my loss, but it was totally unrepairable, anyhow, the guy that sold it on his behalf said he is getting andy to give me a full refund, but up to now i've had nothing, but if/when i get my money back i will post up and give him credit for it..

its made me hate collecting for a while,i've kind of had enough of it,i dont even feel like chatting on here about boxes either..

blufuz - 2012-01-06 11:37

Beanie Man - we want you to stick around! We have all had some bogus deals, but we don't want to lose you.

Claret Badger - that replacement strap never showed up?!?!?! Aw man, let me see if I can put something together for you, but no promises. That sucks when they get lost, I sent that over a month ago.....

Driptrip - I will accept paypal for this situation if that helps the transaction. Send me a PM with your name/shipping info and I will send you the paypal address.

Agentorange - It just felt like the right thing to do.... transaction didn't even involve me but almost hurt just as much. If this fund raiser gets any $, at least it is something I can pass on to stretch. I'm here for the community, that's just how it has to be.

stretch - 2012-01-08 20:26

Wow. blu_fuz, what a guy! A fundraiser for me. I honestly don't know what to say other than thank you! I appreciate immensely what you're doing, and seriously just don't know how to respond as this kind of thing has never happenned to me before. I've been screwed a few times with eBay deals etc, and not getting the money back, so this is just over the top of you good sir! Member of the month no doubt! The Stereo Saint .

I also read that caution thread regarding James, and I'm happy we will be able to help future buyers of his merch become more aware about him as if/when they google him they will undoubtably stumble onto it.

Lets hold tight guys and keep spirits high! Collecting boomboxes is supposed to be fun/exciting/nerve wracking, but shouldn't be negative! Unless of course, you lose that eBay box bid

eric

blufuz - 2012-01-09 07:35

No problemo Eric. I gotta do it, it just feels right!

I will send the $ with the powder coated M70 grills that I have here for you . Give it a week or two yet.

blufuz - 2012-01-09 19:10

blufuz - 2012-01-11 07:32

I sold a couple more straps.

I forgot to tell you guys that I have 3 tiki blue straps made up for JVCs that I have had done for a long time. Those are available too.

blufuz - 2012-01-13 08:06

Thanks to everyone that could help out!

I'm adding everything up, taking out the paypal fees, material cost, and shipping to get my final $$ amount for Stretch!

jmez - 2012-01-13 10:54

I'm totally tapped out, otherwise I'd want a red one!

blufuz - 2012-01-13 13:07

I know how you feel

I got totally raped in an ebay sale.

The guy bought my Magnum Dynalab Tuner for $375, used it for two weeks, broke it,

Then he lie to Paypal saying "it has no sound", so Paypal forced me to take back even though ebay listing says "as is" and "no fefunds"

He sent it back with broken switch because of poor packaging so it got shipping damage.

I appeal to paypal, and they require me to send proof.

I pay service senter another $80 to state shipping damage, but paypal still decided in buyer favor, saying they determine item was returned as stated; non-working.

So both buyer and Paypal raped me, and that was in January and I still fumming.

The dam unit still works and plays although one meter now not working.

I kept complaining to Paypal that the buyer never sent me my warrantee papers back,

so I could get it fixed. Paypal emailed buyer and he finally sent only the insurance slip 2 months late! No warrantee papers!

I filed claim and postal service stated too late, all because of slow ass Paypai and this bad buyer who I see changes his name every year or so.

The only positive thing is that I emailed the company and they said they would honor the lifetime warranty without the receipt. So I would just have to pay shipping and cost and  broken switch.

I keep thinking at times to re-list on ebay in future with whole story and pics of box with his address and stupid emails of paypal with paypal employee names to embarass them all.

In the end I probably will just fix and keep it.

I find the hard way that Paypal always sides with buyer,

even in face of seller proof.

Then they "pass the buck" and tell you to call some other place to investigate fraud.

So I know how it feels to get ripped off and so I want a strap.

ghettogas - 2012-07-27 20:43

Hey fuz

Pm me if I can get a jvc rainbow strap.

Thanks

blufuz - 2012-08-09 12:10

Thanks to everyone that purchased a strap.

This fundraiser has been over for a while now, and I just sold the last JVC strap! No more hardware or strap material.

This thread can be taken down from the "stickies" area and locked up. I have a few new designs with updated pricing for when the new batch of straps is made up. I will make a new thread then.

Thanks again!

redbenjoe - 2012-08-09 12:36
