ICF-2001 parts available

xtof.huygens - 2012-01-09 01:07

If just made 2 good ICFs out of 3, and have the parts donor available if anybody needs anything. These are cheap machines yet important form a historic perspective.

This is the original 2001 with the "first" PCB. I am still looking for a 2001 replacement

speaker myself.

Xtof.

Available free for ship, all parts except a good keyboard, a good antenna, big battery compartment springs.

xtof.huygens - 2012-01-09 07:24

Hey,

you have the 7600 in mind, or the 2001? There were d and g I think for the 7600, but from the 2001 only a d, which is same as 2010, a very capable receiver. The 2001 is nice for the user interface but it has a lot of peeps from unclean oscillator and computer interference...The 7600 had many variants over the years - they still sell the GR right now!

xtof.huygens - 2012-01-09 08:13

A CRF-330! Rare as gold, and just as expensive... great, I don't have that one. I do have a good collection of 6700/6800 though. 330 are pretty much unobtanium here in Europe.

xtof.huygens - 2012-01-09 08:31

@deliverance - yes that is a TS-2000 in the background (I only use it on microwaves though). I need to find a spot to take decent pics . For the 6700,6800 I have the 6700W, 6700W, 6800W (white) and 6800WA (orange). I think that is the entire family.

I attach a pic of the 6700 brothers, need to do same for the 6800.

A nuwbe here that just noticed that your spare ICF-2001 doesn't have the "D" battery compartment spring.  I'm hoping that you or perhaps someone else has since come across a spare or source for the Negative side.

My 2001 as well as I would be very happy for any leads that might help me find one.

Thanks

GC, you might have to PM this member.  i recall he stormed off in a huff a while back so is unlikely to see your post.

xtof.huygens - 2012-06-07 23:27

No worries, I am around.

But no source for battery springs, you might try thick spring wire?

jazzymike - 2014-07-15 03:47

can you suggest someone that may have parts for a Sony ICF-6700L? Radio works great, the ON/OFF and AFC levers are broken off the switches. Maybe a suggestion for modifying them.
