fully working but tape search system is tempremental, ariel and batt comp good 1 knob remolded and 2 switches remolded....some marks....bit of paint worn on left side of aiwa sign...small dent near tape counter and a few scratches.....overall good......

New motor IC and rebelted...twin VU`s working

very good condition and very rare....never seen one of these ever for sale..

all working....ariel and batt comp good....small bit of rubber from tape switch broken

This is a cassette multi-changer.... a bit like a cd multi changer......pop 5 tapes in and select the one you want to play........awesome feature

There is a very slight click ....quiet and hardley noticeable when playing a tape but i thought i better mention it.......

Iv only had this box 6 months so not had chance to sort this out......probably easy

to fix if you want it 100%

Good boxes dave,that aiwa looks like it shares its deck with the 880,and the mitsi is a rare one mate..

good luck on the sale man, i do have the mitsubishi tho the cassette door wont open,

i still keep it jut waiting to see if some day i can get the door to open and see how the tapes works.

hugo,i think 2 things could be wrong with the door,maybe the belt has worn so bad that the motor is just spinning but slipping so the door wont open,either that or the timing is out,i wonder if you can press eject and gently try to help it out,put something in the door e.g something plastic so it does'nt mark anything or dint the plastic

I think your right paul....it is the same deck as the 880......

As for the mitz....iv only ever seen them in pictures.....never in the flesh.....

Thanks hugo .....i think your answer to the door not opening is the motor belt.......it does have a seperate motor for the door mech

dave there was an electgrial shop that was local to me in the 80s called kofflers,they used to sell them mitsi boxes,£199,and they had the small mitsi aswell,the one with the green and red vu metres,£89..they were good box,but never hurd one though..

the 770 with the DSL sounds fantastic !!!
