stereo.mad - 2012-02-20 13:38

here are some swap boxes

im after a m90,vela discolite, awia cs880 and a conion c100

i have cash on top to offer as well

ghettoman - 2012-02-21 13:01

Hey Sm,typical of you man lol,the boxes you want are soo hard to find,i've had all of those boxes exept the M90,but i fixed Radio Raheems for him,and they sound awsome..not sure why you want a discolite, they look really nice and the lights are funky, but the sound lets it down, the led's will entertain you, they sound ok but they aint gunna bass bust the pavement..

kingofthewastelands - 2012-02-21 21:24

Nice!  But hey that 9494 is missing grilles!

lol that's why im trying to temp someone on here to part with those hard to find boxes

as for the discolite it's just nice to have it in your collection, not bothered if it sounds crap as i have boxes that sound good...if that makes any sense to you

i have the grills if interested

Ahh i see i see..

Well maybe i'm being a bit harsh on the discolite, they are'nt that bad, from what i remember of mine,it did sound ok,and it did have ok bass..but aslong as you dont try to put it up against a big hitter because it would'nt keep up,but overall its a funky box, about the same size as the 777..i only sold mine because a handfull of the led's was'nt working and i tried everything to fix them but failed,so i sold it,i bought it for £150 with broke tape decks and as said, some led's not working,i sold it for £200,my mate sold it for £400,and the person that bought it off him was Ewen that used to be a member here,he sold it for £550..think its purely due to its rarety,as for a nice mint one in uk,God Knows..Dizzy Money i Suppose lol..

chris69 - 2012-02-22 13:07

I have to agree with the discolite being crappy. I owned one and couldn't wait to get rid of it. They are made cheap and sound cheap like a typical black hollow plastic box. They are all for show and the only reason they sell high is because Madonna rubbed her box on one

If i found another one i would just sell it because despite the size...nothing impressive

dogtemple - 2012-02-22 13:08

are you in the UK?

as the man says, its going to be tough to find those over here.

i recon there cant be more than about 15 c100f in the uk.  dunno about the others but theyre equally hard to spot!

stereo.mad - 2012-02-22 13:22

i thinks i need to be choosy where i take my hol's this year so i can bring back one of those hard to get boxes here in the uk!

ghettoman - 2012-02-22 13:41

Yes i have to say,the C100 i had was a nice box.big, heavy, flashy, nice bass, and nice and loud..i only sold that because i'm very picky on condition, and it was in ruff shape so i sold it..

The Aiwa 880 i had was beautifull, the quality was awsome,it looked really nice..sound was good, but for me,it was a box i could take or leave, then when someone made me an offer i could'nt refuse it went bye bye lol..

And like i said, the disco thingy had issues i could'nt fix so that had to go too..plus a bunch of flashy lights only amused me for so long then i got bored of it..

i guess that wanting certain hard to find boxes is what keeps this hobby more exciting sometimes it's all about the chase!

having said that i do really enjoy using my boxes

deliverance - 2012-02-23 02:42

talking of chasing would not mind this guys job

chris69 - 2012-02-23 02:46

Exactly it's the thrill of the hunt that makes it exciting! Finding them on ebay is easy as long as you have the $$$ i mean, there is not alot of challenge to that but finding a grail in the wild and i get so excited that i don't sleep very well until i have it home
