Have you guys seen this auction?

just in case someone here is going for this unit, in a close check up the units seems to have pitted top left and right chrome corners and the tuning window seems scratch of damage .

it doesnt really look shinny like a new unit should look.!!!  BE CAREFULL

Sold for $1600

I agree driptip...that box doesn't look "right out of the box" new....

Looks like the box MAY have been exposed to water judging by the crumpled manual and dirty a/c cord......

The seller is probably an auctioneer......He goes through someone's house to sell off the estate.......And he comes across this boombox, sitting in a closet covered in dust, and he is about to carry it off, but the homeowner says "Wait a minute, I think I have the box for that", and lo and behold, he does.  So the auctioneer takes it, because he knows it's valuable.  Then he dusts off the boombox, tries to shine it up as best he can, so that people will think it has never been used.

The above is just speculation.

Lately they don't even bother to clean them up and they want to charge you crazy prices.

I learned hard way that best deal is always the owner.
