JVC RC-828s for sale, checking interest

spoofington - 2012-07-20 08:43

Making room for other models by selling a JVC RC-828JW and RC-828L(European). Don't really want to sell but need the room and money for others. Both decks are re-belted with some new parts and repairs to each unit, to bring them back to fully functioning.

The 828JW has new belts, dial light and lense. Nice condition with minor flaws, NOT mint.

The 828L has new volume sliders and a cord. Decent condition with blemishes to aluminum faceplate and top. Still a solid unit.

May trade one for Realistic SCR-8?

If you're interested I can give more info and pics, if you message me.

These are older pics. I will get newer soon.

Do they sound any different?
I simply love this box ability to convery space and detail.
I have a few boxes in my sig, and this is one that I am keeping. Sound to me is superior to both my Led modded boxes and
Some may prefer larger sounds but I prefer its sound over even its bigger brother the 838.
I just wish mine was minty like yours

These both sound identical, same internals just slight differences for Europe. I do enjoy the sound reproduction, accentuating some instruments most other units can't. I enjoy the Biphonic processor and "zone right out" while listening, sometimes. I am definately keeping one and selling these 2. I, amazingly, had collected 4 and I gave one to my father because he had an 828 years ago and really enjoyed mine when I showed it to him, brought back the memories, anyway. I am partial to these but I don't really need 3, so, thanks.

ive just got one off of bison, and i wholeheartedly agree that these are fantastic sounding, great looking units-no one could reproduce the biphonic wide sound that jvc did-tell me,how easy is the deck to get to in one of these please?

I am down to one 828 currently. I did aquire an 838 in the meantime. I still prefer the 828 for separation and higher response, though the 838 is very close.

Not too bad to remove the deck. The main pcb has to be pulled aside, the wiring does allow enough to do so. A few wiring connectors need removed, though they are coded to only go onto their own terminals. The tuner can safely be removed completely to aid access. The deck is held in by a few screws. I do like the JVC for relative ease in removal and repairing internal components. Only a few screws in each and you can access to make repairs.

I prefer the 838 overall (LL Cool J's association helps) - but the 828 is a sleeper
