Expensive $200.00 or more air-mail from USA to Austrailia would be my guess  for this being a very Heavy and Huge boombox requiring a Really big box to ship this in.

The lowest offer ive gotten is $450+ shipping.. im looking for around double that, am i crazy or is this piece of history worth it?

tbomb - 2013-02-11 08:16

Value of an object is only equal to what someone is willing to pay. Is it worth more than $450? Maybe to someone, but the catch is finding that person when that person has $450 to spend. I wish I had a lot of money, I'd make you an offer. It looks like a very nice boombox. I'm sure it would make a spectacular addition to anyone's collection.

without meaning to being rude, the thing is that it is the poor mans model, ie: no vu's and tape counter flasher etc,so it's not going to fetch top dollar

i think $450 is a reasonable price

good luck with the sale

dogtemple - 2013-02-11 09:25

yup ^^^ its the later budget model from Korea, missing bits like VU etc.

you might get $600 on a good day, all depends in the buyer.   dont expect it to make the same $$$ as a normal conion, because it simply isnt the same thing.

chitownbrown - 2013-02-11 09:52

Thanks everyone! I got a very helpful phone call this morning and have decided to keep it.

And now you know why we don't discuss "what's it worth" here. All you do is plant dollar signs into the minds of non-collectors and drive up prices that are already ridiculous high at this point.
