Yo Raheem. Good to hear to Got Another One. I Got Mine on Amazon. Love N It. I got My JVC KD-55 Tape Deck  Hooked up to Mine and the Cassettes sounds Awesome.Got a 8GB TDK USB and it's Full. Had a Cook Out in the Park last Week. Had it Rockin' for 5 Hours. No Problems at all.

radio.raheem - 2013-03-28 18:40

thanks keith......i don't forsee any problems with this one...as it's brand new.....should be here tomorrow but not sure as it's easter.....this boombox really does sound good.......wish i had bought a new one now instead of second hand rubbish.......after all the second hand one was only 50 quid cheaper.....im actually thinking of selling my m90 now also as it's pretty useless with out a tape deck....and the tdk does sound better....just a shame the highs are not as good....

smeats1976 - 2013-03-28 19:16

sorry to hear your TDK was beyond revival matey, I was hoping that this tale would have a happy ending!

cheerz smeats....she is repairable but it would need sending to tdk....i feel i have sunk enough money into this one already.....so my loss maybe someones gain

radio.raheem - 2013-04-02 06:23

Boombox no longer for sale as im sending to TDK for repair....i have my new one and it sounds fantastic even on mp3 which suprizes me...tops the m90 imho....so well worth buying guys just don't buy a second hand one like i did first time around

brutus442 - 2013-04-02 06:43

Congrats Reno. I don't think after reading the nightmare you had with this box I'd join you. I'm sure TDK rectified some issues but lately electronics have been constructed to last 1 to 2 years at most.

I have been looking at the Pioneer Steetz but I'm still not sold yet. For now the M90 and and an iPod in the Line In jack will have to suffice

Keep us posted with your new box Reno

I quite agree in some ways brutus...things are designed 2 last 1 or 2 years max whatever it is.....but i still think i had a dud....and will alwys love boxes like the m90 pc55 hell most other boxes because of cassette.....but then for what m90's can sell for this is pretty good for less than half the price....so for people who can't afford £700 £800 on a box this is a good option....sorry to say geoff a member heard the pioneer and with it's lack of radio and he said it didn't sound all that good...so from that prospective i think the tdk may be the better option...as i think they roughly cost the same lad....next im buying a couple of those sharp boxes....that a member keeps banging on about....forgive me i can't remember his name

deech - 2013-04-02 06:59

Late electronics last for one year, so true !!

Its like all of them have a microchip inside them

that when this year is completed then the problems begin!

northerner - 2013-04-02 07:20

It works perfect my friend.....im not sure what firmware it has been shipped with. but im leaving well alone....first mp3 played purple rain by prince...if only there was some way of sending the old one to you....but the uk postal service is worse than robbing hood

smeats1976 - 2013-04-02 09:06

Is it going to cost you to send the old one to TDK for repair? If they can fix it you'll be able to recoup a couple of hundred £ ebay though

To be honest smeats....if i could send the boombox to retrodos or the boards  cheaply i would much rather do that....I sent 2 dd9 walkman to sony once....what a balls up they made......the walkmans were practically scrap by the time sony got there hands on them...if i could or can get my other fixed i'll keep it.....if it had sounded average like so many boomboxes like gf9000 vz2000 m70 (sorry guys) i wouldn't have bought another...but to be honest i was blown away by the TDK in the short time i had it....and it's not kaboom shaped lol....just need to make some grilles now

Some modern boxes sound good (eg the kaboom) but look fugly!, while other modern boxes look cool(eg Lasonic i931) but sound crap! You sound fair impressed with the TDK and it's not a bad looker either, hope for the future perhaps? I would love to see a pimped up TDK blinged to the max with chrome bumpers bars ect. or is that just tasteless?

Indeed Reno - it's the only thing stopping me from buying one.

Tell me (anyone), can you plug an iPod into the TDKs USB? It would be good not to suffer the iPod's less than perfect headphone amp...

radio.raheem - 2013-04-03 08:51

Yes you can plug an ipod into them Paul....curse the damn things lol....all i use is a flash drive though.... walkman ipod guitar....anything you like...

walkgirl - 2013-04-03 10:47

baddboybill - 2013-07-25 10:10

Did TDK repair yours? I only ask because my 3 speaker just recently went out and they said they don't repair or replace with another 3 speaker.

radio.raheem - 2013-07-25 11:31

i flashed the bios bill...had two of them sold one (thank god) tdk should be ashamed of the crap they have made.....ebay is littered with broken tdk and they were only launched in 2011

That's sounds like a fob off to me. What would they do instead?

Valuable info!  I'll steer well clear of these boxes. I hope you get this resolved Bill. It seems TDK has produced a dud and have shunned their customers.

The only people that will be collecting these are...the garbage men

baddboybill - 2013-07-25 18:40

Thanks Guys....Well it was a real solid looking and sounding box while it lasted. TDK gave me a choice. To send me the new A73. Or wait up to 2 months for refund of what I spent. Well I bought it new for $225 shipped so I figured I'd try the new A73 since I will get a full 1 year warranty with it. I will let you guys know how it is.

blutmadchen - 2013-07-26 07:24

The obsolescence of the TDK was deliberately planned just like beats crap.
