hey im looking for this type of thing how did you come across your's?

These are great. I have a NIB unit of the TKD HD-01.  Have a Nakamichi demagnitizing wand but often it does not reach well into the head area due to doors.   The TDK cassette  works perfect.

Didn't just come across this - as it is a Necessity for Me and keeping the best possible sound's coming from my deck's  by performing proper maintenance in a timely basis  

I got tired of the handheld needle demagnetizer ( for fear of scratching the head's ) - this works so much better

A best friend have known since we were 6 went to college together.   We stay in touch all the time.  When he found out was collecting cassette Walkman he said he had some stuff boxed away would send.  Sent me this unopened TDK unit and 3 TDK MA-R 90 min. blank cassettes WOW valuable.  So I got really lucky.

how much are they worth and are they a nesessity ive had my deck serviced recently and it was done then how often do you do your cleaning an d demagnatizing ?

When I clean the Tape head's pinch roller's & capstan - also I demagnetize the playback head.

     Worth?  Years ago I bought this TDK for $30.00 I believe, Now, $, I have no idea
