Be careful shipping overseas chupa, only go express post if you have to even though it will be $400 plus to get it there surface parcel can take up to 8 weeks .. many buyers blame the seller for long delays in shipping even though they chose the cheapest route.

I got something seamail one time and it took like 4 months.  I had already lost hope and was sure it was gone but it did turn up.  So I agree about not shipping something surface mail if possible since buyer could file PP claim before item gets there and then it will be houston, we have a problem.

On the other hand, chupa is in NYC and unless I'm mistaken, there is no surface shipping option for USA outbound shipments.

Sorry chupa just noticed this is the Conion still for sale?  could you send pics of your conion and how much your after, do you have a video of it in its current state.

Just keep of the nector lad....never thought id say it being the biggest x drinker in wales.....i have a worse problem now flippin smoking....every time i light up i wanna heave...but i don't know how to stop....yea i have tried all there bollox just can't stop....

still have the m90 not sure why it may aswell go out for the rubbish.....about 40 boomboxes are going to the dump on monday.........only crap ones nothing special....

starting to risent boomboxes now there just junk and most don't work.....apart from that im ok lad just wish i was back in the 80's maggie thatcher the lot least boomboxes worked back then lol

Item is gone now. I ended up getting the C100F from miguel1love. Just couldn't stand it anymore.  :-) Been waiting since 94 for one of these and figured I would never have one if I didn't grow some hair on my "you know what" and just take the plunge. Tired of waiting for the perfect deal to never come. Heck even if I can't keep it working Ill just display it and be proud. :-). As long as the alarm still works so I can knock someone in the head if they get too close...haha

I would like to add though that the price was cut in half since that link.

Miguel1love is a great member...or used to be, i wouldn't worry coongrats on the conion

Appreciate it. I see where the back looks Gold. I just thought it was from aging. You know how plastic will turn colors? I didn't know that they actually made them in Gold color. I also assumed this because the battery compartment is also a different color. More tan where the UV rays haven't really gotten to it. But hey....if it turning or being Gold makes it more rare then I say goodie... lol :-)

So does being Gold mean its more rare as the previous post states? If so I got lucky on that one I guess. Never really took that into consideration when I got it.

The suspense is killing me. Still waiting. Haven't gotten my tracking number yet. Tomorrow is one week since payment. sigh....maybe it was shipped and he forgot to email tracking number. Won't bother him just yet. Ill wait until Thursday before I start getting concerned.

He has replied to my emails so not too concerned. I think you have 45 days with eBay to open a dispute but I've never had to use this system (knock on wood).

Yay!! Got videos of it working and tracking number! Now as long as the shipping goes well I will have a Fully Working Gold & Tan C100F. Didn't even know anything about them until I started doing some research.

Never thought the day would come. 10 yrs I've been waiting. Hope all goes well. Of course you know pics are coming when it gets here... :-) I'll start another post and not keep this one going.

I finally found one in Queens last year, i paid a lot but use it daily and still no issues. There is a gold Conion 100? Maybe it is just discolored? I want to see some pictures of this sounds interesting.

From my understanding they made them. You can google search and choose image option for Gold Conion C-100F. They have a black Tuner dial (instead of Blue), the Box is Gold colored on the back with Gold highlights on the front paneling, tweeter grills and around the speakers and the sensor on/off button is Black bordered instead of Blue like the Silver ones.

From my understanding these are more rare than the silver however if you want to see the box I purchased you may skip back on this post and click on the eBay link  Traveler posted on miguel1love's ebay auction and you will be seeing the stereo I will be getting soon. Just after the description you will see a Blue Link that says "show original listing". If you click that you will be able to look at the various pictures posted

I have a feeling, or just a wild guess the Gold or champagne color Conion.....was the last of the bunch in the conion factory just when they halt production...before it became korean...because i never saw one in the stores back in the day....my guess this was around 1986-ish....or perhaps 1987....it be interesting to see a manufacturing date inside one..... 

I agree with you because if you look at the Korean models with an original silver next to it the center panel overlays with the writing on them for the knobs and such look more Gold in color.

Well Everyone wanted pics of the Gold Conion C-100F so here it goes. It started with me cleaning it up. Look at the Chrome as it was you'll be amazed of the transition. Looked like it was painted with grey primer paint. Just dull over the years and thought it was gone for good.

This was the Chrome as it was and this was using a SOS pad. Looked like it was dead

So I got out my Motorcycle Metal Polish "thinking yeah right...on plastic? Good luck". Well.....it worked and brought it back to life again. See Below

Below is the Final Resting place.....Until i go out to wash my car..then it comes with me

The End. Going to go annoy my wife some more with loud sounds :-) One thing I would like to add is that even though it is only a model C-100F is has the 120-240Volt selector switch. Thought only the FF models had that. Maybe it was something they changed on the Gold model. Not sure. Thanks for viewing

I've been using mother's polish on my chrome parts....works wonders...

Haha. Yeah Man. Started my little 80's collection. I get out those Pac-Man games and play them every so often. Those VFD (Vacuum Florescent Display) have a neat image. I really enjoy powering up all my 80's gear. Each time I do I remember how exciting everything was as computers were just getting started and portable. I get that same excitement today especially when I fire up my Commodore64 computer. Computers and gadgets of today might be faster but they are overly complex and lack the fun factor. There is no more show and excitement anymore and the newness of computers and their progression has worn out their welcome as they evolved from being fun to invading our lives.
