Panasonic RQ-S60/80

minty - 2010-01-20 14:55

Greetings all. Can anyone tell me what type of case would have came with the RQ-S60/80. Not sure if i have the correct one. The one i have is a grey velvet one with a black pull tie on it.
I purchased a boxed RQ-S60 on ebay Germany. The item was mint, but the player was not working. I then purchased a replacement player from China. Spotless, and working fine. Even the stick battery takes a full charge. I would just like to know if this is the correct case for the player.
Also, if anyone would like the spare player, they are more than welcome to it. It might be usefull for parts, or maybe repair. The condition of it is very good indeed. It has not been meddled with. Anyone interested, just send me your address. Its free to whoever wants it.
Cheers.

Hey there! I can't be sure about it but my older Panasonics from that era use the same one you described. More recent ones have a soft type but no tie. Cheers!

You are welcomeSmile

But tell me, is there any differences in sound between your new S95 and the S60? I think they should sound prettty much the same.

I have a boxed RQ-S60 with all accessories. The case that is correct is a all black nylon thin bag with pull string top with no name on bag... odd as usually Panasonic has a small sewn in tag on side sticking out with name. Of note I have noticed that during a production run of a model the accessories such as headphones and bag/case can change yet be correct for model. VERY difficult to verify this after so many years and lack of information from mfg. company.

Thanks for the info Mr. Edward. Regarding the sound between the s95 and s6o, the sound on the 95 is sharper. But i would rather the 60 to be honest, even though the 95 is probably more funk and harder to aquire. I just love the cool LCD remote on the 60. Coolest cassette player ever in my mind. Of course the s80 is the better player, but both are identical in appearance.
So to my latest purchase. A mint sony WM-F404. This thing is like new. Still boxed, altough the outer box has a few tears. The rest is mint. Not one scratch. It has a really cool inner box, with a kinda clear plastic lid. Also, it has a three band tuner including a tv band. I hope to have it next week. I will post pictures as soon as i receive it. Cheers all.
