I have the exact same in original box as well (in addition to several others unboxed), so I watched the auction with great interest to see what it's worth on the market.
Something to think about: The original TPS sold for $200 in 1979. Adjusted for inflation, that would be roughly $595 in 20009 dollars today.
It's very rare for vintage electronics to retain or go beyond their original retail price (obviously due to depreciation), so this is testament to the status of the original Walkman in gadget history.
