First 'Real' Walkman

doober314 - 2010-04-06 12:09

I got my first 'real' Walkman (a Wm-10II) last week. There wasn't anything special about the ones I had before. Just cassette players you know?

But now the more I look at the Wm-10II the more I want another. This is normal right?

Oh, and random question... Is it Walkmans or Walkmen?

I can't wait to get a belt in this sucker and get it running!

The question has to be "what is normal". I know a guy who collects vacuam cleaners. Yep, vacuam cleaners. Weird eh? But he thinks its perfectly normal. Oh, and he has a lovely clean house!

Very normal. I started with a late 80's Aiwa, just to play my tapes. I decided my mid 90's Sony wasn't retro enough. 'Course, soon that was too new, so I migrated to a mid 80's Realistic in silver plastic. Now, I'm not very interested if it's not a brick, doesn't have two headphone jacks, isn't a funky brand like Unitech or Parasound, doesn't have two headphone jacks - I like the pre-standardized models from when there was no one way to make a cassette portable.

Your tastes may run different - most run towards the less fanciful - but lust is normal. Walkmen ARE sexy.
