Christmas presents

minty - 2010-12-30 15:10

Greetings all.

Hope santa brought everyone a nice walkman for Christmas. Not me. I got an iphone4. Yes i know, one of those damn things. I am not a fan of ipods or mp3 in any way shape or form. But i must admit, this thing is really useful.

Take for instance bidding on ebay. I often had to bring my laptop to work to throw in a late bid. Not any more. I can do it on the iphone. As regards downloading music, its not for me. The walkman cassette will always be my prefered choice. But the iphone will definately help with my walkman purchasing.

So what do you guys (and girls) think?

I still like my HTC Desire betterSmile

But I got something better for Christmas. A kiss from a pretty girl! Smile

I have the Sony Xperia X10i which i thought nearly a year ago was ok but to be fair i'm quite impressed with it. Was going to get the HTC desire but camera quality just pipped this one. I'm a bit of anti apple in their products as the way they dominate the market with unfair pricing but we all pay their sky high prices for their products so we are to blame.

But then again Sony was like that in their products of the walkmans,

That is why i prefer the Aiwas.

I got a boxed Panasonic SX91 for christmas a nice blue one from my wife hehehe

I wish everyone a splendid New Year and hope all have good health for the year in 2011

Colin

Now I am really impressed with you, agent. You are a true retro fan. Sadly I do own a cell phone. However, it is a very basic one with no frills like camera, touch screen, and web browsing. It is good for making and receiving calls and that's about it. Half the time I forget it at home. Nod Yes

I agree that the best phone in the world is the one you don't have to answer and you can leave it at home! We should al be so lucky!

I'm a mobile phone luddite as well.

I finally got around to replacing my museum-piece Nokia 3510i (which I liked 'cos the battery lasted all week & it was just a phone) & for £10 a month (nothing to pay upfront), I got a Nokia 5230 with unlimited internet, satnav & all sorts. It even has a QWERTY keypad so I might get the hang of texting. It's like a cheap version of an iPhone at less than 30% of the cost of an iPhone.
I'm happy Smile

btw, It was a Wii Christmas in Iso-towers this year. After years of "we'll never have a console in this house" from my wife, guess who's been on the Wii non-stop? Smile
I got SuperMarioKart for Christmas. Not for the kids at all, honest...
