Most expensive Walkmans - WM-150 price - a new record perhaps?

fortexg - 2008-04-29 06:53

Sold for $520 on eBay (to a newly registered buyer).
That's the highest I've seen (but my track record is only 2 months short).
Tops the WM-F107($449) & WM-D6C ($441).

Yeah, I've been watching this guy, he's been making some tidy sums from this walkman game.

This is a bunch of cash for a very bland unit. If anything it shows that a little bit of effort with a listing will go a long way.

Wow! I agree with AO about the extra effort in the listing paying off. This guy makes these look very appealing, makes me want it. Not at those prices of course.

Wonder how this will go down as he stated "only bidders with good feedback"? The winning bidder has no feedback. I stay away from those...was burned once already by a zero feedback high bidder. Must be clear in your auctions, I would have put "no zero feedback bidders!"

Just checked; that auction was removed...

You can still see the bid history though.

And another, this time NIB, unit surfaced...

Interesting.

Hmmm... most of this person's sold items were removed (checked about 30 of them).
Can a seller do that or is this done by eBay - not as a favor I guess?)

Oh, just noticed: he's no longer a registered user.
But still, all items removed? Looks strange on the buyers if somebody wants to check their feedback...
