Help Find Kristi Carr a RX-1924. Please

ao - 2008-02-06 10:17

Member Kristi Carr has been desperately looking for a Panasonic RX-1924 for as long as I can remember.

Please put poor old Kristi out of his/her misery (and ours) & help track this rare beast down.

I personally pledge a £20 reward to anyone who finds one in good fettle.

This is what she looks like.

I have the PANASONIC RX-1925.... Do you want it?

It has to be a Panasonic RX-1924.The same exact model but thanks anyway.I dont mean to be fussy or greedy or urgrateful in any way but that walkman has sentimental value and reminds me of my dead grandma who bought me my 1st Panasonic RX-1924 in 1997 at north ST. Paul Goodwill in Minnesota.I have the box it came in.It broke down last year.God bless you Agentorange for going to bat for me for finding one that works!I can only get it off eBay because my guardian said so.Thanks!80s walkmans rule!Kristi.

What I mean is she said she wants the Panasonic RX-1924 walkman to be listed on eBay rather than stereo2go so it dont get lost or damaged in the mail or something else bad happen.I personally wont deal with Western Union.Do you have one to list on eBay by any chance?Agentorange if you or anybody finds the Panasonic RX-1924 walkman please list him on eBay.Thanks.80s walkmans rule!Kristi.

Suppose I get a Panasonic RX-1924 walkman mint in the box gently used with no marks origional headphones and the box is bent a little and is ripped on one side. The walkman was used very little. The rip on the side was only one cm. deep. How much would that mint walkman be worth today?80s walkmans rule!Kristi Carr.

The only T.V. repair shop in Duluth Minnesota that fixes walkmans told me that the Panasonic RX-1924 walkman is damaged beyond repair and yes I do still have the walkman and the origional box it came in but Im saving the little guy for parts for if I have future problems with a Panasonic RX-1924.Thanks for looking for me 71spud and for putting it on eBay for when you find one.To Agentorange Jacques_Chessmate(1869*) was the last winner of the Panasonic RX-1924 but never emailed me back as to whether this eBay seller would list it on eBay or not.Maybe you could try and offer him 20 pounds for it thanks.80s walkmans rule!Kristi Carr

Bring it over, I'll take a look at it...unless parts are broken off or missing, they are usually repairable...

If you are volunteering your time X, I would definitely pay you to fix a few of mine...

mister.x - 2008-04-10 18:14

I'd love to help out jameswp67 but I've got stacks of stuff that need attention, I'm sure if you crack them open and post photos you can get a lot of help in the tech forum. Most of these items either have broken belts or jarred mechanisms that need alignment. Unless someone dropped a cup of coffee on the inside they can usually be fixed in a couple hours.
