I have just found a WA55 and want any information about these. Thank you.

In my view the cumbersome WA-55 was the pincale of Sony's 'style'.

It's an early unit, from around 1983 I recall. It was based around the old Pressman TCS-300 unit but with a stereo circuit board & a radio added plus a tiny speaker. Not too sure what this unit was trying to be, a radio, a boombox, a walkman, a recorder, sadly it did none of them particualriy welll but it had great lines.

The 55 was the first of many WA units but by far the nicest.
