A few new Aiwa Gems

skippy1969 - 2008-11-14 14:52

I added a few more Aiwa's to my collection.
First is this 100% functioning Aiwa HS-U07 with tuner pack.

With the tuner pack.

skippy1969 - 2008-11-14 14:56

By itself.

You make me sick! And it's in red too!

Aiwa HR-S02 AM/Fm stereo headset radio built from 1983 and 1984.

Not a walkman but a Aiwa microcassette recorder from 1980 to 1982 Wink

Oh, this is more like it. Three extremley good catches here Skippy. Next to the gold F07 The red U07 is about the rarest in the series. Interestingly this was available in about 10 other colors. Mine is the standard silver.

The radio phones are a gem & I love the quality of the Aiwa minicassette stuff, not much plastic in sight.

Thanks Agent! Big Grin

I love the antenna on the headset(along with that huge bolt on the top). Nice units, very hard to find the colored versions of higher-end units.

skippy1969 - 2008-11-18 05:35

Thanks Mister X. Big Grin I don't think the bolt on the headphone radio is original. I'm trying to find out what type of fastener was there originally. Thanks for looking. Nod Yes

Thank you very much Nicole!
I agree Aiwa stuff from the 1980's is great. Big Grin

I like Aiwa products from the 80's as well-nicely made and sometimes feature packed.

Thanks. Nod Yes
