Walkman Databse

ao - 2007-10-16 10:42

We're going to have a go at building a walkman database.

It's too early to say wether or not we can do a Boombox DB style apporach with CD's etc but we can make a start.

I have Excel spreadsheet of what I think is all the models from 1979 to 1986 but this is the period I collect so we will need input from you guys to take this date up to, say, 1993. Can i suggest we don't go later than this as I think we all agree that all units after this point with a few exceptions were trash. But your call, it's no extra work.

What I suggest is that I send the file out to anoyone who wants to contribute & I'll compile them whenever I get updates from you. So, can you PM me your email address with the text 'Walkman database, sign me up' and I'll send it over. Please make the following edits to the file.

1. Add any new units which aren't already on it plus any info you have relating to the columns i.e. year, features, colours etc

2. Add any new columns you thing should be covered/usefull i.e. dimensions, weight, cool value (I like that)

3. Fill in any blanks, not just your own entries.

Please can you only add facts & don't make stuff up ;-)
