Ever wanted to know what one of these looked like inside, but didn't want to have small pieces of lead everywhere?
Some crazy peep on a Chinese forum has busted open an AIWA sealed lead acid battery scooped out the lead and then inserted NiMH batteries in it's place.
Then they re-wire/rebuild the battery charger to accept the new battery chemistry.
That is a Really Good Idea for those that have that walkman that take's that special battery. I seen a write-up on somebody else performing a a battery modification for that model of walkman that requires a Lead-acid rechargeable battery.
