SONY WM-10 gold Mizuno with fake photo?

walkman.archive - 2012-02-20 11:31

I've just saw an auction that claims to sell a SONY Golden WM-10, "Mizuno" Version, but the photo is a real fake, because that unit (exactly that one) is in my collection now.

That photo was used by the seller that sold me that unit a few months ago, so that's not the actual item for sure. but the seller doesn't say anything about that...

I'm absolutely sure because I used that image to show that rare walkman in this thread I started:

A probable rip off?

The WM-10 'Mizuno' version is rare? I didn't realize that, found mines pretty cheap.

walkman.archive - 2012-02-20 12:27

well, if you did found yours for cheap doesn't mean there weren't rare...

@retrodos

It's quiet rare! I got my first scarce AIWA HS-PX10 in White for $20.

@Hugo

He probably think he is using this picture as a stock photo, you can always ask him for more pictures to make sure it's not a scam,

If anyone is picky on any personal pictures, he can always report ebay for copyright violation and they'll make him remove it.

Peace

Yes it's a rare one...I've ogled hurodal's for too long because I can't see them anywhere else

What a beautiful WM...

walkman.archive - 2012-02-21 13:41

Brutus, what does mean 'ogled'? Sorry for my limited english.

BTW: I don't forget that you want one of this, and I want to sell mine, so if you want, you can always send me a PM...

ogle means to leer at or watch amorously....

Put simply it's what we men do at the beach (making sure our wives don't see us doing it)

PM sent

Yes, I thought it could be... I sent him an e-mail, but no reply yet...

No, it's not a matter of copyright of the images, just for be using a photo of an item that's not actually the one being sold.

The seller juts replied to say that indeed is a "stock" photo and he updated the auction, but as I expected, the one he is to sell is not a "mizuno" version,just the international standard version.

I hate it when they illegaly use a "stock" photo just so they can get it listed fast instead of waiting to post photos of the actual item for sale. I've seen alot of the big sellers doing that often over the years.
