Philips Skymaster 3 D6641

sam86 - 2012-04-24 03:46

Morning all,

Wondered if anyone can shed any light on a Philips Skymaster 3 D6641 for me? I have one still in its original box and has never even been used!!! Still in its original plastic with headphone and straps.

Thought it was a nice little find! All I know that it was for sell in 1984 for about £29.99....

Haven't been able to find much more.

Thanks

I have a black one, it came in 3 colours, red, black and white!,

It also was available under the Aristona brand ( another Dutch brand from Philips), and that

one also came in the colour blue!

Not a highend model at the time. But still interesting.

Thank you. I'll put some photos up soon showing the full condition of the box and content. Mine is a red one if you wanted to know. Will post some pictures soon.

Many thanks :-)

90% of the walkmans were not highend at the time!

I have taken a few more pictures. I think this might be the first time it has actually been out of the box since it was manufactured.

I don't remember Philips making any high end players. Maybe I'm wrong. Did they even produce a Walkman with logic controls or remote? Although I do like this little Philips. Very nice to have in any collection.

Be very nice to have in a collection. Maybe my collection, it it's for sale? But depends on price, but is complete.

I would consider selling. It is totally complete! As if it had come straight from the factory! The greatest thing about it, is that everything is still in its original plastic. I have never even taken the headphones out of the box.

Wow! This personal stereo brings back so many good memories for me as it was my very first one. I remember purchasing it for £20 in Laskeys back in 1985. It was this stereo that I discovered some great music and listened to my very first Marillion album (misplaced Childhood) for the first time. So chuffed to have found this
