Crazy price AIWA

plop - 2012-05-08 10:34

You've got to love the nerve of some sellers on eBay and how far they are going to bend truth to snag a sale. This guy's description of an "extremely rare" PX101 missing the battery holder, case, remote/headphones and thus untested is in his little world - "mint".

Apparently it was exclusively sold in Japan?!? I think he might be getting his facts about the PX10 and PX101 a bit mixed up.

Yours to have and hold for a snip at... I'll let you click on the link below and find out. Watch out for the BS!

If you want to buy someone else scrap/trash at a high EURO, then buy it. Everyone sure know by now AIWA's almost never work unless restored, reason why he conveniently misplaced the 2v adaptor and is being offer AS-IS.

Holy crapsticks...

And to think I used to own two of these.

isolator42 - 2012-05-09 05:24

I still do own two of these (Walkgirl has one as well).

They are excellent players & In *perfect* condition & 100% working, re-belted with original headphones, battery cases (gumstick & AAA) it might be worth £100.

This seller is way off the mark here.

Have about 20 Aiwa's some in very good condition(but only the main unit's), and maybe only 3 work properly. The main problem with the rest is,(yes you guessed correctly) leaky caps. Although i have to confess i do possess a very good condition complete with box and accessories included Aiwa hs-px101 and i love it.
