Ask agentorange, if tim jarman is still repairing walkmans. He did my clicking dd33. It still sounds beautiful. He also aligned the head, which i thought was ok.

H tintin40, Tim Jarman was a member here but I've not heard from him for over 4 years.  You might want to speak to member Retrodos as i know he does repairs.

Hi Tintin, this walkman is using logic control. The reason it stops after few seconds is because the capstan and the reel doesn't drive.  The control senses no motion and it will stop, most probably is due to faulty belt. I bought one wm7 from ebay and I managed to restored it by replacing a new belt, lubricate the mechanism, clean it and now the unit is in tip top working condition.

Since your in the UK you may want to contact dottor walkman member here he lives in Italy since closer to you and is most excellent also and does many repairs (its his business electronic repairs/walkman).  Retropcdos lives in Chicago USA and is also very good at repairs.
