Does it use Amorphous head instead of Ferrite? Both are good type of heads.

No, is a normal Head but the Head is very good. A very nice Sound. Better Than DDIII or DD30. For me, the DDII is one of the best Walkman ever. My favor !!!

No, it uses the same head.  The only and very major difference was the inclusion of the dolby B circuit.  Don't forget that this was the first walkman running at 3v to have Dolby, this was quite a big deal in 1984

No, not the Same Head like DDIII and DD30. The DDII Head is much better

This post asks for the differences between DD and DD2, the head isn't one of them.  The DD, DDII & DDIII were specc'd with the same head.  There may have been product variations through their 5-year production line but an upgraded head was never a development for these models.

For some reason, the DDII is cheaper than the DD. Why?

Tage DD released 1982 and DDII 1984. cheaper ? No idea.
