a DUAL walkman

pawel - 2013-04-15 14:29

A recent find - a DUAL CP4020, the only walkman of DUAL (I guess)
nothing special - just a nice addition to a range of hi-fi products
for DUAL fans, but it is unique in it's own way.
It has a SONY mechanism with Samsung engine,
DUAL electronics and a remote connector in Panasonic's style.

Best of all - it is the only walkman I know, that has NO CONTROLS
on the body. If you don't have a remote controller, you can't use it.
You can just switch on the dolby or bbs system, and turn the volume up
but that's it.

If you know more about this unit - please let me know.

I got excited then..another twin deck WM? No, not quite...but interesting to see. Can't imagine it has anything to do with Dual Turntables, but you never know. Wharfedale certainly had it's name plastered over some crud over the last few years. Thank god they're still making good speakers

Like Aiwa you say ?

Just taken another look...the switch gear looks remarkably Panasonic-like, as does the headphone plug, at least to my eyes!

Interesting. My money's on it's an OEM Panny in disguise. And judging by the way the label logo looks, it IS something to do with Dual turntables. Fancy that!
