DO NOT BUY FROM E-BAY SELLER 'ARMITAG1311'

I purchased a Sony WM-DD33 which arrived not as advertised.I contacted the seller who told me to return it and he would replace it.

The item was to be sent as per sellers instructions, declared value $20.00. The seller says he never received the item. Initiated a Canada Post search the item was not found so they payed out $37.00 ,the declared value $20.00+$17.00 postage.

I guess this is how this sellers 'NO RETURNS' statement is achieved.

My loss to this dishonest seller is $187.00 !!!

I'm not exactly happy with that seller (as he stole images from my website for his auction without permission) but maybe in this case the item was lost by postal service or given to another person. In that case, it won't be his responsability, will it?

I had some problems with him under his AKA "Artin179" and so have others. He seems to have some great stuff but it is often not as good as his pictures would suggest. I would not buy from him again. There was a long thread on this subject about a year ago.

What I said in my original post is only one dishonest thing armitag1311 did, having me put a value of $20.00 on a $187.00 item. I should have sent the return REGISTERED and  FULL VALUE declared.

I have lived in Canada 40 years and have not had any piece of mail lost !!! I maintain this dishonest seller received my return but I can't prove it.

I was going through postings titled Anyone know eBay seller "armitag1311 "? and I found armitag1311 had done the same thing with another buyer !!!

You never know... In 40 yrs you have not lost any package, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible to happen.

However, if you are unhappy with it, why don't you open a case? Is it too late?

I've already opened a case with this seller and so far he's not even responding to any of the messages PayPal is sending him.

And yes I also made the mistake of declaring $20 out of the full value, but the item got there. I've tried talking to him asking him hey did you get the package. Still no response.

This has been escalated to a claim now and I'll see how it goes after that.

Oh by the way. He's back on eBay.

Also, who owns audioidiots.com? Wanna have fun with this guy since he's too freaking lazy to host his own images?

I guess that this has just happened to you. I am curious to know how you know armitag 1311 received your package. From what you say, if you have opened a case you must be within  e-bay and paypals 45 day time limit.

I was 2 or 3 days outside of that, so I couldn't get any money back through them !!

I didn't know I was dealing with a DISHONEST e-bay seller !!!

I have reported armitag1311 to e-bay.com and I will be reporting him to e-bay.ca ande-bay.uk

How did I know? I shipped it via traceable means and picked something that was reasonably fast, USPS priority mail comes to mind.

USPS was reasonably fast, but one mess up on the UK side did was they failed to collect the signature which isn't a big deal since he's relisted the item I returned to him.

And oh, if you paid by credit card you can always file a dispute. Just tell them what happened and they probably can get the full amount back.

pwnyexpress - 2013-05-26 18:46

Update: I finally got my money back after calling PayPal multiple times with an ultimatum.

I've also reported this problem to eBay as this seller shouldn't be out there deceiving users out there that by selling defective items, and then willing to accept a "return" only to have the audacity of claiming it never "got" there, or in my case, no response to either the PP dispute and claim.

His dumb move was to re-list the radio I've returned back to him. That's grounds for me to believe that he does indeed have the radio but he's just lying or doesn't want to deal with his problems.

Also trying to fool a RF tech about a switch that does European to North American reception? He does realize that AM and FM is pretty much what it is as the name implies.

Update 2: He's now sent me a sob story. Claiming his dad died and leaving him a neg feedback can affect his ability to sell on fleabay. Now he wants me to remove it so he can continue to sell on eBay. Like heck I will remove the neg feedback on eBay. He's already had enough of the benefit of the doubt given to him and he isn't getting anymore.
