Some Walkman Pics

Hi

I have a small collection of Walkmans. One of them is quite interesting I think. It was one of the few stereo micro cassette radios. The WM-22 was my first Walkman and has seen better days. The TPS-L2 was mint but I foolishly left the batteries in it. I fear the resulting leak has ruined it and it is now just a nice looking ornament. Havn't had the heart to strip it down yet.I am trying to get hold of another one as I love this original model. The "Sportable" is an oddity, quite large, mono recording capabilty but stereo reproduction from pre-recorded tapes.

This is a great start to a collection.  The Olympus is a very interesting piece.  This was Olympus's attempt at a 'lifestyle' stereo microcassette player, their error was to make a unit which was actually larger than a standard sized cassette playing walkman, kind of defeating the point but this is a very over-engineered, all-metal (ish) piece and also quite rare.
