BUY IT NOW I saw it first

I saw this on E  bay.  Even without its face plate, I recognized it  right away!  It is the Toshiba KT-4055!  It looks much like the KT-AS10, but made of plastic.  Thanks to a post by John Edward, I knew what it looks like with its metal face plate and round FF button.  This little gem is very hard to come by! The price was very reasonable and included shipping.  I did not hesitate because I knew it would not  last. I saw it first! It also has a low serial numbner( 949)  Does anybody know how many colors it came in?  Do any of you happen to own one of these KT-4055?  I need a face plate and FF cog!

Thats it! Thanks for posting it. This picture is missing the FF button.  I have noticed several differences from the original KT-AS10.  The volume is moved to the side, the dolby and metal controls are now where the volume used to be!  The jack for the power is now on the opoosite side!  The belt clip is now a plastic holder that clips on to the unit!

I believe that Toshiba did all this to cut production costs.  The new sale price was now only $55.00 which was half of the original price.  The thinking was that it would sell much better if was more affordable.

KT-4055 is the US model. I doubt that many were produced.  It is now indeed a rare item. These are the only 2 I have ever seen, and both red! If any members have one or any additional info please post.
