Sony TQ-50 Sound triangle APM speaker systems

Does anyone own a pair of these? Judging by the 100v supply, I would assume they weren't available in the US.

Oh, they're nice.  It would be nice to know how big they are.  This is just what Sony were good at.  Imagine if JVC made these, how ugly would they be?

Sure these looks nice! Can remeber seeing the same sort of triangle shaped speakers in Sony Sports yellow. Don't think these had apm speakers and a seperate amp tho. They must be very collectible, because they went for an awesome price after fierce bidding.

AO is right. These could only have been made by Sony. I think that Apple copied the Sony design ethos entirely;  It does not matter what it sounds like, how useful it is or how long it works for, as long as it looks good.
I am certain that i have seen something strikingly similar with an Aiwa badge on it too. It was slightly less sombre to look at.

Very true though what I find odd is why Sony don't pursue this approach with product and packaging design which they can clearly see working for Apple.  After all, Johnny Ive is on record as saying that his designs were heavily influenced by Sony.
