Cannabilizing some walkmans ive bought cheap. Anybody need parts?

davisneil - 2012-12-09 06:48

Ive bought some tatty (but working apparently) walkmans off ebay. I intend to strip the parts out and perhaps you guys have parts you need.

Please let me know below if you need bits and what bits you need, and ill try and get them desoldered and bagged up for you.

Im thinking things like :

Assorted cir clips and plastic locking rings

Cam gears

Motor

Playback head (if good)

Solenoid

Headphone socket

Flwheel/Capstan assembly

Pinch Rollers

Gears

Battery cover

Battery case

Front lid

Obviously i need to see these units first but i reckon these 3 can probably help resurrect many others.

The model numbers are:

Aiwa hs pl777

Pana RQ SX25

Pana RQ S44

Let me know. Thanks. I would charge a minimal amount for parts...only enough to cover postage and the relevant proportion of the purchase price.

I buy the panasonic with LCD rq-s44 as whole. Next question is was someone inside it?

when i get it, do you want me to crack off the back and have a look?

I'm sure if the price is right, Walkgirl could do with that battery box from the PL777 for her PX1000. She has been looking for another to replace the one gone missing.

absolutly. this is why i bought them. if walkgirl expresses her interest ill put it by for her and id ask no more than about 4 or 5 pounds

the panasonic has not been meddled with. Ive removed the pcb ready for the belt. it all looks good. there is a scratch on the cassette door, and the label on the back is tatty. but the innards look good.
