whats your other hobbies?

andyboombox - 2009-09-15 05:56

apart from being a boombox nut, i am heavily into the paranormal. i strongly believe that ghosts exist. i have seen and heard things that would make a sceptic believe.
but, as derek acorah (highly gifted uk medium) says "to the believer no proof is neccessary, to the non believer no proof is possible"
what does everyone else think. and have any of you had any experiences?
andy

Not had any 'ghostly' experiences (know a few people who have, supposedly). Wouldn't mind visiting some famous 'haunted' spots though just out of curiosity. Cool

Personally, I'm open minded about these sorts of things... not a strong believer or disbeliever.

im.out.of.hear - 2009-09-15 16:28

Ha ha ha ha i used to watch derek acorah on tv..he was funny..
as for paranormal, well i`ve had Alot ! of family died and none have spoke to me,also,i walk my dog alongside a grave yard every night,i`m a bit edgy but as yet, nothing has happened so far..

andyboombox - 2009-09-16 02:19

you guys! mr acorah is legend! i have all his appearances on most haunted, and nearly every other episode. love that show - gotta admit though yvette makes me laugh sometimes!
yes true steppa, i wouldnt mind doing "re visits" to some of the sites that MH have already done. my favourite places would have to be (in no paticular order):
tindale farm, pendle hill, lancashire
dover castle, dover
dudley castle, midlands
wakefield theatre royal & opera house wakefield(5 miles from me)
beauleau abbey, new forest, hampshire
caphouse colliery, wakefield (5 miles from me)
derby gaol, derby (owned by mr richard felix)
beaumaris gaol, wales
bodmin gaol, cornwall
brannigans, manchester
and not forgetting one of the most scary:
CLERKENWELL HOUSE OF DETENTION, LONDON.
a lot of foul, evil, debortuous and murderous deeds went on here-
and many many more, the list goes on.
maybee some of us can get together for a "ghost club"- and do some events. you dont have to be
a believer like me, just come along "open-minded".
i only believe strongly because i have genuinely had experiences. and one preminition. but thats another story.

arghh!! you cant say you have a story and then not say about it! thats like posting about boxes and not putting a picture or 2 up...

please tell all on the story im quite intrigued.

you should get yourself to pluckly if you ever make it to dover castle as its not far and its apparently the most haunted place in the country!

Dover castle isnt in Dover btw

andyboombox - 2009-09-17 01:49

ok, you guys wanna hear my premenition? you got it!!!!
so i was in a deep sleep one night last year. and then the weirdest thing happens. i hear a ships foghorn, and im on the deck of a huge passenger liner. on its bow is a russian name, obviously cant make out the name. then i hear music, its chris de burgh's Lady in red, and im in a huge ball room, dancing with some lady wearing a striking red dress. and then as weirdly again, im in a stateroom, reading a newspaper, and the date on it feb 16, 1986.
anyways i then woke up and could taste seawater in my mouth.
well never having a preminition before i went onto the internet the next day and looked up "russian ship sinks 1986", and wow, i couldnt believe it.....
february 1986 the mikhail lermontov sank after hitting rocks in new zealand. one of the last songs heard playing was chris de burgh's lady in red.
now there you go, how about that? ive had no other preminitions since, so what made me have this one??????? Eek
andy.
ps yeah id love to get to pendle hill- but i wanna visit tindale farm. its deserted but does have owners who dont even like going there themselves.
also the clerkenwell house of detention, in london. this was a remand prison during the 19th century, and housed many petty thieves, rapists, murderers and prostitutes. evil is said to lurk around every corner.
anyone with me? Eek

billy.the.binman - 2009-09-17 04:41

I had a premonition around 25th august 1997, in the form of a dream.

there was a plane that crashed into a rose garden, with a black woman in the cock pitt half in and half out but she was ok and she was sort of singing. the plane was quite an unusual looking plane with a big spikey tail piece.

few days later diana died in a car crash, and the plane her coffin was brought back in looked alot like the plane in my dream. there were flowers by the millions at the palace but i dont know where the black lady comes into it.

it was vivid as i dont normally remember dreams as well as that. i dont bother telling people this as it sounds too likely but it happened, not bothered if anyone believes it or not.

a premonition btw tho is for something thats about to happen, as opposed to something that has already happened.

andyboombox - 2009-09-18 02:05

aye youre right billy, silly me, i guess this is getting too deep into this now, but even though it was only like 23 years ago, could it have been a past life for me?
yours was haunting though, mate. i remember exactly where i was when Diana was killed/murdered. i was just waking up that sunday morning with my then girlfriend and switched the telly on for her. all there was was a picture of her on the screen, and i said to heather "something bad has happened to her" and then the newscaster announced it that Diana had been in a car crash and although every attempt had been made to save her, she died this morning.
that hurt. but not as much as the horrible day in 2002 that me and my current partner lost our first daughter, Jasmine, just 9 days old and 1 pound 2 ounces.
a day i will never forget.
my second daughter, Ellie, is fine though- shes 5 now and as stong as a tank!!!!
andy

billy.the.binman - 2009-09-18 05:46

with all due respect if it was a past life you may have been reborn before you went down, as i assume youre older than 23?

it could be some sort of posthumous telling of the story by someone and you were the recipient. much like derek acorah only not a scouser.

andyboombox - 2009-09-19 02:26

yeah bill, im 31. and i feel it
