there was me thinking that you get it all free, and just have to give some item back as a swap - not money Laugh Out Loud

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A flea market or swap meet is a type of bazaar where inexpensive or secondhand goods are sold or bartered. It may be indoors, such as in a warehouse or school gymnasium; or it may be outdoors, such as in a field or under a tent.[

The origins of the term are disputed,[8][9] but some have observed that buyers and sellers may be as active as fleas,[10] or that the original people and goods were infested.[

The original flea market may be the Marché aux puces ("market with fleas" in French) of Saint-Ouen, Seine-Saint-Denis, in the northern suburbs of Paris.

so its like a boot fair i see/

here we pray to the boot fairy for good booty.

who do you pray to for the swap meets? is there a large meat you pray to or anything like that?

This is slightly embarrassing, but i did`nt know what a swap meet was either,i thought you took some items and meet up and swap for other peoples stuff

its because of the title "swap" meet...

billy.the.binman - 2009-09-24 05:08

yeah gots to say i was under that sort of impression too. i cant imagine it happening in real life where people lug a load of stuff with them to a place with the intention of swapping, then lugging more old crap home again
