Gang Starr rapper Guru has died following a battle with cancer, it’s been reported.

The MC, real name Keith Elam, is understood to have passed away on Monday (April 19). He was 43.

So sad. We had a special on our radioshow Vibes Promotion today. Played lots of Gang Starr and Jazzmatazz.

I saw him live in Germany together with DJ Premier. That was the tour 2004 where they split up later. It was one of the best Hip Hop concerts I saw.

another legend passed....this is sad he was one of my favs...his music always had a positive message ...and i was just listening to his music the other day...
