This is an issue with your internet provider and not your laptop.

This is how your ISP restricts image data.

There's a bunch of info on how to fix on the web but just out of interest are you using a mobile phone or one of those Orange/Virgin usb thingies to connect to the web?

AGENT O, i don,t think it,s possible to access ST2G using a mobile phone, i have tried a few times and this is what comes up on screen...sorry but we are unable to connect you to this site as it uses the latest space age technology which your phone cannot adapt to Wink

Cris,i have 2 dongles,one 3 dongle,5gb allowance a month,and i have a O2 dongle,thats pay as you go but its payed up for a full year,on that one i get 3gb a month,i think you could be right about what you said,because i think it went like this when i installed the O2 dongle,when i just used the 3 dongle,it was ok..

Lav Loo, I meant that he uses a mobile as a modem, I do it when traveling.

So Paul, here lies your problem, these dongles restrict the amount of data you are allowed, you maybe paid up for long periods and your connection may be fast but your ISP will still try to restrict the amount of data you are allowed and sadly this includes images, some images contain a lot of data so it seems yours are being compressed, hence the poor quality.

Firefox is the only browser that will let you change the 'headers' for images. So, if you haven't done it already you should use Firefox (search for it on Google) and then add the 'add on' called 'manage Headers', this will let you override O2's restrictions.

But in all honesty those Mobile broadband dongles are only useful if you are an international jet jet-setting business guru like myself.
