That's the artist Banksy. There are reported pictures of the actual artist himself, but he has largely remained unseen. Supposedly a very wanted man in the UK. He's already becoming a victim of his own fame where as his artwork is being bought by celebrities for absurd amounts of money. (Brangelina). His sh*t is dope though. Very creative, anti-establishment work however. He has done galleries in NYC and LA through his agent/representive. Definately google his website. He's the guy behind replacing Paris Hilton's albums on store shelves with doctored pictures of her all naked and what not in the cd sleeves. If I had to guess those actual CD's are worth crazy amounts of money by now.

OH! I forgot, he even put up his own art work in muesums. Muesums.

I remember having a book containing pictures of mostly all New York City graffiti artists from early 70's to 80's.

It contained the stories behind the artist, pictures of their blow up graffiti and more I just can't remember the name of that book. Lots of history behind graffiti.

I knew several of them like:

Futura 2000
Bones
Soap
Apache
Dr. Savage
Lobo

The United Artist crew were da bomb, most of their work would include a political poem with their blow up.

Subway Art and i think the other was Graffiti Art or Wall Art. Chalfante took them pictures. If I'm not mistaken, Bones is no other then Frankie Bones from X-Men. Other wise known as one of the worlds reknown techno DJ/Producer straight from Brooklyn. Brother of Adam X. Head of Sonic Groove records etc etc....

You can get them Subway Art books still on Amazon I believe.

Thanks Petey for that!

I like some of this guy's stuff - it shows intelligence with humour, which is getting rarer these days...
