thafuzz - 2008-03-31 17:23

Here are some pics of our new Dodge Police Chargers. Hope you all like them. Very fast cars. So far, up to 140mph before "I" gave in. Eek Enjoy.

redbenjoe - 2008-03-31 17:29

nice adam --
but unless you KNOW the guy that made all four tires -- be careful !

oldskool69 - 2008-03-31 17:31

They've ben using these in Alabama since they were released and,"Yeah They've Got A Hemi!" I've seen the fine officers of the Alabama State Patrol run down perps like it was nothing. And you know everyone here believes they are at Talladega and drive like it!Laugh Out Loud Some troopers I know said they would never go back to a Crown Vic. They say it's a bit more cramped, but the perp suffers ALOT more which make them smile! How's yours? Big Grin

kittmaster - 2008-03-31 17:34

140.....you puss.....hit 168 in the vette on the 50th anniversary run to bowling green..........damn that was fun!

what state? So I can avoid it...... Leaving

thafuzz - 2008-03-31 17:37

Hahaha.... Yeah, I've been to the Corvette museum too. Lots of burnout marks in their parking lot too. I would've kept going but, who know's what the speed rating is on these tires and most importantly- It's not mine, so I have to be good Roll Eyes

oldskool69 - 2008-03-31 17:37

That would be California and their planes are faster...trust me.... on I-505 in 1994... north through Vacaville doing 143....got a BIG ticket...whats the statute of limitations? Wink

Wow, "Lead foot Larry", you were cookin' pretty good. I like your style Nod Yes Here in Cali, anything 0ver 100 is impoundable (ofcr's descretion). It's still kinda cramped- even up front for any laptop computers, 2 rifle racks, console radios, etc. Real head turner when I take her outa town. Wish I had my own. But I still have my "Lucy" for my middle age crisis.

vladi123456 - 2008-03-31 17:56

I like your choice of cars - a very cool two door, a nice bimmer in the driveway, and a bad ass Charger - awesome! Big Grin

thafuzz - 2008-03-31 17:59

Vladi, come do a ride-a-long with me, I'll loan you my Taser just for fun Laugh Out Loud

thafuzz - 2008-03-31 20:06

WOW Sin. You got lucky man. I know the Chippees in my area only. They're a diff. agency from me. I've pull them over, they pull me over...."How I roll" Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud

ford93 - 2008-03-31 20:16

I've had my share of pain on a 40mph zone I was clocked with a Falcon radar at 70mph!

The ticket was for around $300 dollars or so but I did one of those ticket doctor schools and just pay around $170.00 no points! Imagine my car looks like a Detective's car being pulled over by Broward county Sheriff Dept. in FL.

thafuzz - 2008-03-31 20:52

Ford being pulled over for "driving while Brown"? Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud

ford93 - 2008-03-31 21:29

I should have gone to court and try the old "was the radar calibrated" stunt who knows the judge could have ask for the officer's log and maybe I could have beat the case. I just want it to go away so I decided to settle it out of court.

Oh by the way Fuzz I was late for work so it was like driving while not being written up! Big Grin

ford93 - 2008-03-31 21:32

Bolo for the Fuzz's charger cruiser!

oldskool69 - 2008-04-01 00:37

Here in 'Bama they use seized Corvettes, BMW's,'Stangs, etc. Nice to have the unmarked vehicle pull up behind you, think it's some speed freak just trying to run harder than you then the flash in the windshield...Eek

How 'bout Cali? Or anyone else, your state?

baby.boomer - 2008-04-01 03:57

Love that Charger, Fuzz! Sure beats a Crown Vic, at least in looks.

How does it sound? Wink

Hey Uncle Ed... I really like avatars like yours that show someone kickin' back!

oldskool69 - 2008-04-01 04:29

I like your picture better! Laugh Out Loud

smokinendo - 2008-04-01 06:10

Thanks guys, It has a modest sound when you get on it (only). Needs some FlowMasters Wink
Many agencies I know of won't use an unmarked to affect a traffic stop beause there's been sucessful arguments in traffic courts that they did not know if it was a "real" Officer, so ended in a "failure to yield" or "pursuit" with felony evading charges. With all the lawsuits, etc. it's better to use a marked car. Or better yet, use pace it, then call in a marked unit to pull them over.

{Fuzz! Sure beats a Crown Vic, at least in looks.}

It's a fresher look. The Charger is better looking, handling and much faster.

{Love the new Charger cop cars but Fuzz that Camaro is DOPE ! ! ! !}

Thanks bro. Feeling the same bout yours too. With 8 mpg, I'd rather cruise in yours. There are a few members with really nice rides here. They were posted a while back.

You won't get any complaints out of me. Smile I've been in one police car in my life (age 14) and it wasn't for a ride along. Wink

jvc.floyd - 2008-04-01 09:33

actually it had some police lights behind the grille ,i had to remove them to get it thru inspection ,i dont know what this monte was used for but it was practically brand new looking when i bought it.

The only police car I've ever been in was a used one I bought back in Chicago in the seventies. The differential went out in a week.

"fix the cigarette lighter"

fatdog - 2008-04-01 20:05

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

redbenjoe - 2008-04-01 20:20

: Laugh Out Loud lol:

that spectacular movie is required viewing around my hood --

"orange whip ? "

baby.boomer - 2008-04-02 05:19

It's 162 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's night, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it!
