No, that definition of a "nERD" is a little more severe than the common street translation hEre in the USA i think. Three are sEveral good traits to "nerds" in fact. Strange as it may seem, i'd chronichle the movie 'Revenge of the Nerds" to see that nerds, ironically , even though they have social adjustement issues and may not, as a whole, be the prettiest people on earth, are some of the nicest and smartest people around and also have genuine friends amongst those considerd "cool", but who are both cool and nice. Thats my take on Nerd> As for Dork..well, thats up to your own literal meaning.
