I LOVE ELECTRO!

charlesdickens - 2008-03-21 06:35

For some reason I get SOOO PUMPED when I play electro through my boomboxes. More than ANY other kind of music. I'm talking Afrika Bambaataa, Freestyle, Cybotron, Hashim, Planet Patrol, Pretty Tony, that joint by Arthur Baker, Etc...

For some reason it just takes me right back to the 80's and makes me wish I was a B-boy. (oh... and I'm Faaaaar from that. hhehehe)

I'm all pumped cuz I listened to that stuff the whole way to work this morning and though I'd share some energy fro the weekend.HA!

blaster - 2008-03-21 06:58

yeah, CD there's no music like it!! takes me back to my best of times... Cool

kid.sensation - 2008-03-21 10:14

You're so right!!

Oldschool-Electro is the best!

petey.awol - 2008-03-22 14:52

Not knocking the old school at all.....but you should with out a doubt check out modern day breakbeat music. Artists like Stanton Warriors, Deekline & Wizard, DJ Icey, Plump Dj's, Ali B, Hydraulix, Baby Anne, Krafty Kuts, Meat Katie, Uberzone, etc etc. In places out side ofthe States these guys are well known and more "mainstream" so to speak. If you are in Miami Florida around March 25-29th I HIGHLY recomend youg oto the Winter Music Conference and check out some of these guys. Winte Music Conference 2008. Click THE LIST which is under the News topic on the right to find info on ALL parties going on down there. For those who dont know what the Winter Music Conference is, its a annual week in Miami where all the worlds top techno, house, dnb, electro, breakbeat producers anddj's come and show case their new 12' releases before they get released internationally basically. Its a great week of chaos with some of the planets hottest women floating around. Last year i missed meeting George Clinton from P-Funk by ten minutes at a hotel pool party.
