in the wild ??

need all your joint considered opinions as to the reporting value of the following scenario ::

well ya know how excited we get whenever a member finds a grail 'in the wild'--so hows this one-

a member is asked to by an old buddy to help his poor old gramma move from her old cluttered house into her local nursing home --
after 6 hours of cleaning lifting moving all sorts of old crap from the first 2 floors - they went up to her attic for another 2 hours of nasty work -- spiders, bats --
not the place or time the member was thinking about a grail score !

but peeking out from under four huge mattresses was a corner of a big grey boombox --

well - those of you who have read these kind of stories - already know where this is going -

YES - it was a dead mint M90 --
the member kept his cool - and continued to move the crap and clean the bat poop etc etc -

finally he and his buddy (luckily a boombox hater) got to move all the mattresses --and all that was left was the M90. so the member gently carried it downstairs

the happy and very thankful gramma was waiting for them with a fresh batch of cookies and hot cocoa --she was almost in tears with her gratitude---
and she asked what could she ever do for 'you lovely boys'

the buddy asked for another round of cocoa-
and the member asked if he could listen to "that old radio"
she said her late husband bought it about 25 years ago and hardly ever used it - so she didnt know if it works -
the member just happened to have tapes in his truck -- the ac cord was brand new -

while gramma and his buddy were chewing up the cookies -- the member was hiding in a corner testing the grail with one huge success after another -- everything worked like brand new

still keeping his cool - the member sat down - ate a few cookies - and then -- made up the greatest story ever told :::

he said " gee - i dont know much about these old radios - but i have a poor friend that just lost his dog and his wife -- he lives alone and could sure use an old radio to add some music and joy to his lonely life "

she looked so sad and willing just before she said --

"well that so kind of you to think of him --
and as soon as he gets his butt over here with $1,450 in cash -- its all his"

If this is true let's see the dusty pic. If not then what is true is what we've known all along...You're full of...cookies! Laugh Out Loud

Oh yeah rbj...it 'counts'! In fact, I had to keep checking the avatar, cuz it looked so much like another members' story-telling style! Big Grin You crafted a fine tale my friend...all the intrigue, suspense, even the element of danger thrown in for good measure. "Poor old Grandma" sounds like an ebay regular (in disguise)! Laugh Out Loud
