How 'bout that! I have a bottle of Old No. 7 that needs to be polished off. However, I don't think it'll last until your trip over here. Wink

Hmmmmm, I've been drinking single malt scotch the last 3-4 years. It's way too expensive to become an alcoholic though - it's more like a guilty pleasure Smile

Vladi, I still laugh whenever I think of your story about cleaning the GF-9696! That's a classic. Nod Yes

I've often wondered how is it possible to be an alcoholic and still have enough left to buy boomers? I need more money! Nod Yes

A few months back, I watched the History Channel's story on the whisky. It was very interesting. I zeroed in on Glenlevet's Single Malt Scotch and how it was considered the best in that country. I love it! Can't hit it too hard though. "Just enough to thin the blood." Wink I chase it with my Sam Adams or Hefe Weizens Nod Yes

HA!! I forgot about it! Big Grin That Sharp 9696 is my bedroom box right now.
Were you able to fix your 9494? You had similar problem with yours, right?

That is what I usually buy - 18 or 21 years old Glenlivet - or sometimes Glenfiddich. I like it on the rocks with some mineral water - it lasts longer that way Big Grin

Yep. It was a dirty record switch. Shot it with some DeOxit and worked it a quite a few times and problem solved. Smile

vladi123456 - 2008-10-14 22:33

So NOT classy - to talk about Deoxit shots in a whisky forum Laugh Out Loud
But on a serious note - awesome! AND - you did pretty amazing job cleaning it up!

Wish I had some now since I ws awakened from my snooze...where's the booze? Big Grin

isolator42 - 2008-10-16 09:47

As the name of the song goes, it's "Got To Be Gordon's".

Is G&T still a middle-class drink if it's served in a pint glass? Smile

Damn, that's given me a raging thirst. I'm off home now, to search for that green bottle...

vladi123456 - 2008-10-16 12:34

I don't think I've ever seen Gordon's before - the bottle looks pretty cool
