most bidders get irrational $$ over mint or NIB stuff --
but if we can enjoy some 'sub-mint' boxes -
there are always some loser lookers -- that can be winners -

I wonder what the difference is between the ( a ) and the ( b ) ?

Both the 3-6000 and 3-6035 (digital tuner) are incredibly under most collectors radar.Their line-ins are among the most sensitive I've personally run across.In fact though leaner on features I like the sound of my 6000 better than I do my Blockbuster.These boxes are usually a cheap way to get a very loud oldschool box with nice bass.It must be its elegant looks that put some off.Though much bigger,their LxW ratio makes them look like a mini.I think the 6000 is a really beautiful design myself.

Nice one Ira! I bought one of those brand new back in HS. I saved up my money from mowing lawns and bought it at the local True Value hardware store for around $120.00. It was a great boombox for sure.
