So this guesser gives me a bell, and says there's a guy down the road flogging a few Hi-Fi bits and i know your into it.
So off i leg it, and return 1/2 hour later to his shop with a JVC RC-M70L and give him a drink and a kiss NO! i am jokeing.
He mention it looked great and i said might be boombox grail.
He reply "What is there a top 10 of boomboxes?"
Which got me thinking do we a standard to go by, of what makes a Grail ?
Do we have a top 10 or Super Seven or a Rubbish 8 or what ever?
Maybe we need to have a poll or vote?

There was a list a long time ago on the Pocket Calculator website. It was removed at some point and if you post it here, it will be deleted by the mods. I speak from experience.

I agree with Fatdog on this one too. A "grail" is in boombox terms a radio that YOU personally are searching for, due to sentimental ties,or one you couldn't afford back in the day when they were new. It can be a small mini Panasonic RX-F2, or a Sharp GF-9090,or a JVC M80....

it's totally subjective,one man's trash is another man's treasure same could be said for grails. What i consider a "grail" someone may think,GEEZ... Perfect example my aiwa w330,very plain,nothing special,certainly wouldn't be considered a grail but it was my 1st bbx,i bought with my own money,lost in a fire and when i found it on ebay,that warm and fuzzy feelin' was awesome!

there might be 10 gorgeous mini grails right there --

and driptip has about40 great grails
and have you seen agentoranges pictures ? -- maybe 60 grails --all "top ten" types --

and then - last month -blasterpunk made 5 big trips up to his roof -- to photograph 5 terrific threads --all full of grails !!

so -- its more like the top 50 or 100 grails.

Even if people could agree on a list of grails, opportunistic assclowns would see that list and use it to justify the ridiculous prices they try to get for their eBay BINs.

Nothing good can come from posting such a list!
